    1. Grab a barbell with hands 4-6 inches wider than shoulder width apart.
    2. Bend over at the waist, making your chest parallel to the floor.
    3. Let your arms hang straight down.
    4. Pull the barbell up to your chest and hold for a half second, then lower your arms back down1.Alternatively, you can perform this exercise with dumbbells by standing with legs shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and pulling the dumbbells up toward the sides of your chest2.
